Designed by renowned kayaking instructor, author and adventurer Nigel Foster for low-effort day trips, the Rumour has just been released to the public and is brand new for 2006.This versatile kayak has a bouyant bow and a low-profile stern. The shallow-arch hull, hard chines and "shallow-V" stern design provide swiftness and stability unequalled in a boat of this width. The front and rear hatches provide storage for day trips and shorter excursions. The recessed fittings and compass recess near the front hatch make it easy to outfit this boat for a longer trip when necessary.
The narrow beam is aimed at smaller paddlers less than 150 lbs, but the snug fit and slim profile also make it an excellent rolling kayak for heavier paddlers.
The Rumour is available in two constructions: fiberglass and Kevlar composite. The Rumour is available in nine gel-coat colors as shown in the dropdown menus below.
